Here's what you will learn:
Step 1
These are the introductory modules on the mouth muscles, shadowing resources, how to read IPA, an overview of all 44 sounds in British English.
STEP 2
You will record yourself reading out a story with all 44 sounds in British English. This is your baseline recording, so you can hear how you improve throughout the course!
STEP 3
You will deep dive into your own native language and will learn which lessons to prioritise on the course and what pronunciation mistakes to avoid based on your native language.
STEP 4
We learn the 16 key sounds for a British accent. I teach my "standard" accent: Modern Received Pronunciation.
STEP 5
You will learn how to produce all 44 sounds in British English clearly and naturally, common mistakes and the key features of different accents across the UK.
STEP 6
We learn about connected speech, stress, intonation and rhythm to sound more natural. You will record yourself one final time and compare your accent to the first recording you did!
